UA Little Rock laid the foundation for my entire career. What I learned in the classroom applied directly to my first roles as an underwriter and analyst. I have worked as an executive in many different verticals over the past 18 years, and the things I learned in undergraduate school are still applicable even today, nearly two decades later.
I originally chose UA Little Rock to be closer to home and enrolled in the construction management program, which UA Little Rock was the only one in Arkansas at the time. When I later switched to business, I stayed because I was close to friends and family, plus I’d developed a strong professional network in the area. It felt right for my life, my career, and my future.
UA Little Rock opened the door to my first professional role. Without it, I don’t know where I’d be today. It gave me the chance to build a network and launch my career with an incredible company, Delta Dental of Arkansas.
At that point in my life, I needed a school that understood me. I came from a small town and was the first in my family to graduate from college. UA Little Rock provided a path forward, helping me prepare for my career and opening doors I couldn’t have opened on my own.
