DAY AT WORK

Our role is broad in the efforts of supporting a complex workforce. As an HR professional working in STEAM, a typical day can include everything from recruiting talent, answering employee benefits questions and responding to employee concerns, to creating and delivering employee development programs and succession planning.

 Career Evolution

While in high school, I spent a semester shadowing a local employer, which allowed me to observe a female supervisor in a manufacturing plant. Being able to see all the different positions available within a manufacturing facility inspired me to learn more about fields within the industry. 

LOVE the Work 

I love helping people work together more effectively. Workplace conflicts are inevitable, but our differences can also be strengths. When I help people recognize the source of these challenges and rebuild their working relationships, it’s incredibly rewarding and powerful.

SURPRISING BUT TRUE 

Many women pursue careers in education or healthcare, but they may not realize the opportunities in industries like construction and manufacturing. These fields are thriving, offering diverse career paths with room for long-term growth and flexibility. Whether you enjoy numbers, hands-on work or working with people, there’s a place for you. Plus, the salaries and experience gained in these industries are highly valuable and transferable.relationships, it’s incredibly rewarding and powerful.
