“At the heart of everything I do – as a mom, a business owner, and a member of this community – is a deep belief in people. CARTI embodies that same belief by putting patients and families first, meeting them with compassion, excellence, and hope. Festival of Fashion is such a beautiful reminder that when we come together, style and generosity can create something truly powerful.”
With visions that align for a healthier future for all Arkansans, Lauren Williams will welcome fellow fashionistas to the most stylish evening of the season: Festival of Fashion.
Lauren remembers childhood on a Minnesota farm that influenced her perspective. “Community was a way of life that shaped my values and gave me a strong sense of perseverance.” She has always supported local organizations and domestic + international mission work. After moving to Arkansas, she was treated at CARTI Cancer Center for a cancer-related genetic mutation. In addition to a team of experts, Lauren was most impressed by the compassionate care and calming environment. “Cancer has touched so many lives. My aunt is still with us today thanks to incredible research and advancing technology. When the opportunity came to support CARTI through fashion, I knew it was the perfect fit.”
This year, Festival of Fashion celebrates a powerful reawakening of the spirit + soul through the grandeur of style. CARTI Foundation Director of Special Events Michaela Johnson elaborates, “This is definitely a favorite for our patrons! The reason – raising awareness and funding for CARTI patients – is evident throughout the event. It’s just a really fun and fantastic twist for fundraising; and the fashion this year is unbelievable – thanks to our participating boutiques.” At the helm of Glow Luxury, Lauren has curated a female team with a finite focus on authenticity. The idea is simple: pre-loved handbags at accessible prices. With sales through e-commerce and live selling platforms she offers “luxury for less with transparency, trust and a little sparkle.” Her girl gang will join the runway again this year. “To see local businesses, boutiques and the community come together in the fight against cancer is incredibly moving.”
CARTI is the largest, private cancer clinic in Arkansas and remains steadfast in its mission to make treatment available to as many Arkansans as possible. With its all-inclusive cancer center and statewide network of clinics that administer oncology, CARTI serves 60,000 Arkansans annually. When faced with a cancer diagnosis, there’s an assured confidence that every patient receives care that extends beyond the physical with special consideration to holistic wellness. Proceeds from Festival of Fashion support the CARTI Patient Assistance Program – providing additional resources that improve emotional and financial health. Michaela notes, “This program helps with essentials, so patients and families can focus on a full recovery.” Lauren adds, “Family is everything to me – my husband and I have two children who keep us full of energy and joy. CARTI brings world-class cancer care right here in Arkansas. Families don’t have to travel far, they can be close to home, surrounded by loved ones. That’s a priceless gift.”
FOR FUN
Best Advice – Dreams require action. Vision may set the direction, but it’s showing up every single day – working harder than it looks from the outside – that turns dreams into reality.
Motivation + Inspiration – My greatest inspiration comes from two places — my family and my clients. My husband and kids motivate me to show up as the best version of myself every day, and they remind me what really matters. My clients inspire me with their trust and loyalty; they’ve turned my dream into a thriving business, and I never take that for granted. Both keep me grounded and driven to keep growing, giving, and creating.
Favorite Time of Day – After everyone goes to bed — the peace and quiet in the house is golden (especially with a 6- and 7-year-old!). It’s my reset time.
Must-Have Accessory – A handbag – t always fits, it always elevates, and it’s the one accessory that can hold my whole life inside it.
For Relaxation + Enjoyment – With two young kids and a busy business, I cherish the little moments of calm – a cocktail by the pool, cooking a good meal, or sneaking in some quiet time after everyone’s asleep.
