In 1976, as CARTI established an unwavering mission of compassionate care, pop culture reflected diversity and innovation that defined a decade. This new cancer treatment center specialized in radiation therapy. Today, CARTI treats 50,000 patients annually throughout Arkansas – offering all-inclusive chemotherapy, radiation therapy, diagnostic radiology and surgical oncology with a statewide network of clinics. Education and research have evolved, but these legendary resources andvision for a brighter tomorrow remain constant.
Festival of Fashion Chairman Kaitlin Elkins will welcome guests to an unforgettable evening of style with Iconic performances from 14 Central Arkansas boutiques. It’s a theme that reflects the steadfast commitment that CARTI delivers daily. At Steamroller Blues in the Heights, Kaitlin hears unexpected personal stories from CARTI patients. “Women come in the store from all over Arkansas. After getting to know them better and helping them find the perfect outfit, I would learn they were in Little Rock for treatment at CARTI. They often recount the kindness of everyone who works at CARTI.” For more than a decade, Kaitlin Steamroller Blues in the Heights have joined in this fight for a healthier future for all Arkansans.
Kaitlin is quick to recognize the talented team that comprises the Festival of Fashion Committee. “We are all passionate about combining style, creativity and philanthropy into one iconic celebration. Our meetings have been filled with new excitement that makes me so grateful to play a small part in the grand production.” She guarantees a New York Fashion Week-style show of epic proportions. “Allison Stodola-Wilson never fails to do an amazing job with choreography and the most spectacular opening number. With a live raffle again this year, you will definitely want to be there!”
Proceeds support the CARTI Patient Assistance Program – providing additional resources that improve physical, emotional and financial health. “It helps reduce barriers to treatment including lodging, transportation, counseling, yoga classes and more; it’s not just for patients, it’s for caregivers as well.” Kaitlin notes a sense of community that makes this all possible. “Little Rock feels like an extension of my hometown, even though it’s not. We will gladly come together to support one another and important initiatives like CARTI.” CARTI Foundation Director Michaela Johnson notes, “Fusing fashion with music muses for our iconic cause seems like a winning combination. Festival of Fashion will once again have guests dancing in their seats.” Katilin adds, “Without giving away too much, this year’s show promises to be legendary!”
