The PEARLS Foundation in partnership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the Chi Eta Omega chapter, welcomed friends and supporters to the Venue @ Westwind for the 9th Annual Brown Girls Rock ceremony. The evening featured special host Melody Shari of OWN’s reality show Love & Marriage Huntsville as well as the Brown Girls Rock: The Nellie Awards and the PEARLS Foundation scholarship celebration. This serves as an opportunity to showcase women and girls of color who are successful in entrepreneurship, social justice, enhancing the environment, education, and economic development.
