The fundraising goal for this year’s walk is set at $20,000, which will support the AFSP’s initiatives focused on suicide prevention through education, advocacy, and outreach. Community members are encouraged to participate by joining Levi Hospital’s team, forming their own teams, or registering as individuals. While registration is free, donations are highly encouraged, and all contributions are tax-deductible.
“We are honored to continue our partnership with the AFSP as the Community Champion sponsor of the Hot Springs Out of the Darkness Walk,” said Libby Harrington, Director of Marketing and Development at Levi Hospital. “Last year’s walk was a significant milestone for our community, raising over $15,000. This year, we want to build on that success as we continue to spread the message of hope and support in Garland County.”
“The ongoing challenge of suicide unfortunately affects many individuals and families in our community,” said Brandy McDaniel, Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health Services at Levi Hospital. “We encourage community members to get involved by walking, forming teams, or making donations to help fund critical research and outreach that can save lives.”
