The Sunshine Therapeutic Riding Center (STRC) is excited to announce its 4th Annual ‘Southern Soiree at the Reserve’, set to take place on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 5:30 PM – 8.30 PM. This highly anticipated fundraising event will be held at the historic W.C. Brown House, located within the beautifully renovated Reserve in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
This year’s Southern Soiree offers guests a unique and elegant evening experience. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the Reserve’s main guest house, a landmark that has been a part of Hot Springs’ history for over 130 years and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The self-guided tour of the house will allow guests to admire its intricate architectural details and the historic charm of each of its six uniquely decorated rooms.
In addition to the tour, guests will indulge in Southern-inspired cuisine with heavy hors d’oeuvresprepared by the renowned Chef Justin Ruttley. Live music will be provided by the talented Jerry Lewis, setting the perfect ambiance for an evening of sophistication and celebration. Guests can also have their portraits taken by professional photographer Jeff Fuller-Freeman to capture the memories of this special night.
A major highlight of this year’s event is the exclusive online auction, which kicks off ahead of the Soiree on September 15 and runs through 8:00 PM on the night of the event, October 10.
This thrilling auction features a curated selection of high-end and one-of-a-kind items, offering something for everyone. Whether you’re bidding from the comfort of your home or joining us at the event, this is your chance to win incredible prizes while supporting a worthy cause. The excitement will build as bids pour in, culminating in a dramatic close just before our live auction begins. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to secure coveted items and experiences—start bidding early and keep an eye on your favorites!
In addition to the online auction, our guests will also enjoy silent and live auctions on-site in the breathtaking greenhouse Conservatory, providing even more chances to engage and win while contributing to the Sunshine Therapeutic Riding Center’s impactful mission.
Founded in Spring 2021, Sunshine Therapeutic Riding Center has made a profound impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities and mental health needs through equine-assisted therapy services, including hippotherapy and psychotherapy. The Center collaborates with local medical and educational professionals to deliver programs that foster improvements in communication, motor skills, sensory integration, cognition, and emotional wellness.
As the organization continues to expand its programs to meet the growing needs of the community, the support of generous individuals and businesses becomes increasingly vital. Funds raised from the Southern Soiree will directly contribute to the development of these
essential programs, the acquisition of specialized equipment for therapy sessions, and the maintenance of high-quality care for the horses involved in the therapeutic process.
