Little Rock Kappa League develops the leadership of young men through service to community. This national, youth initiative promotes academic achievement as well as integrity and respect – cultivating skills that last a lifetime. The organization encourages self-discovery and purpose through volunteerism. Kappa League Director Telly Noel recognizes these qualities for success and helps members realize their full potential.
Telly’s experience provides a winning combination of professionalism and insight to Kappa League. “I bring an energetic spirit and love of marketing to my work,” Telly admits. “I also understand good business and community.” He spends time with the 70+ active members and instills the importance of proper pre-collegiate practices and financial responsibility. He believes Kappa League members are better prepared to participate in an increasingly complex global society. “I like to challenge the status quo – allowing for a panoramic perspective while creating authentic communication.”
Through volunteer opportunities with organizations throughout the Capital City including Habitat for Humanity and UA – Pulaski Technical College, Kappa League improves the landscape of Central Arkansas and hopefulness in our future leaders. University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College Foundation Advancement Marketing & Alumni Relations Manager Adora Curry elaborates, “Members volunteer on campus as ushers at our Center for Humanities & the Arts theater. They are so professional and respectful that our chancellor took note and implemented similar protocol with our UA – Pulaski Technical College student ambassadors.” Also notable, these young men innovated volunteerism during the pandemic with virtual outlets to continue service. Regardless of the project, members are committed to a standard of excellence that guarantees success in every endeavor. Little Rock Diamond Foundation Board of Directors Chairman James Bobo adds, “Whether it’s feeding the homeless at Our House or building a home for Habitat for Humanity, our young men of Kappa League can inspire all of us and remind us that a heart for service really can make a difference.”
