Claire Tiffin
During her time at Arkansas Foodbank, Claire Tiffin has served in many roles. From community development coordinator to manager and now as director of community engagement, she continues to combat food insecurities throughout the state and encourages fellow Arkansans to join the efforts. Whether it’s the summer cereal drive, a telethon or restaurant week – her wholehearted commitment is evident and equates to more than 7.5 million meals!
Claire utilizes her experience as a social worker in tandem with the world of fundraising. “My background in social work gives me a unique perspective on fundraising – as my training centered on understanding people, building trust, and advocating for those I serve. I was taught to value service and integrity over self-interest. I carry that into everything I do. I never forget that the funding I am responsible for directly translates to a real impact on real people.” She has completed courses through the Lily School of Philanthropy and believes in the power of continued education. “I am always looking to improve my skills so I can serve my community as effectively as possible. Every bit of knowledge I gain strengthens my work and thus directly impacts the neighbors I serve. Continuous learning is part of being a competent social worker, and it is central to doing this work well.”
Deeply passionate about her work at the Arkansas Foodbank, Claire believes we can all contribute as connectors to “people, resources, and food” – a big part to the organization’s mission. “I see my work as laying bricks along that pathway. I envision a hunger-free Arkansas, and I am proud to be helping build the path that will get us there.” This kind of community collaboration is key to success. As a result, Claire has increased support for the Empty Bowls Gala and Summer Cereal Drive – creating community drop-off sites and healthier food options for this year’s 25th anniversary of the drive. Colleagues admire her tenacious spirit and innovative approach towards every project. Arkansas Foodbank Chief Development Officer Emily Piechocki elaborates, “Her strategic mindset, creativity, and deep commitment to food security positions her to be a transformative leader in the field. Claire doesn’t just raise funds; she builds meaningful connections, inspires action, and keeps the mission at the heart of everything she does.”
