Considered a premier competitive duck-hunting tournament, Arkansas Duck Derby is presented annually by the Conway Regional Health Foundation. Proceeds from Arkansas Duck Derby support the Conway Regional Men’s Health Initiative – an awareness + education program for men and the Conway Regional Guest Lodging Assistance Program. Dr. Thad Hardin adds, “Men’s Health is a cause that is near and dear to my heart.  I see too many men that are unhealthy and how it affects their families and our community.  Through Conway Regional and the Duck Derby, I want to educate men and take healthcare to them.  And I hope that will lead to our families and community thriving.”

The UAMS Physician Assistant Program produces PA graduates who practice transformative patient and family centered care in a broad range of medical knowledge and skills. Values include embracing cultural diversity and collaborating effectively with all members of the health care team. Additionally program participants contribute to the profession through leadership, education and service. Jami Howell recalls, “My earliest memory of volunteering would probably be helping out with my mom while she worked on Bargain Barn for the Junior League of Little Rock! She has always demonstrated selflessness and it is one of the most valued lessons she has taught me.”
