Fierce Women by Katherine Strause

The Argenta Library is honored to announce Fierce Women, an exhibition by Katherine Strause. The exhibition will run from May 17 to June 7, with an opening reception on May 17 from 5-8 PM, as part of the Argenta Art District’s Third Friday Art Walk. Admission is free to the public. Katherine Strause, a painter based in Little Rock, Arkansas, explores themes of racism, gender partiality, and societal contradictions. With over seventy exhibitions and numerous awards, including the Wingate Foundation Artist in Residence, her work reflects a lifelong dedication to understanding and challenging societal norms. Strause’s Fierce Women exhibit embodies rebellion and empowerment, portraying women confidently taking control of their lives. Her work challenges societal norms and celebrates women’s strength and independence. The Argenta Library Gallery is open during regular library hours Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM.
