DAY AT WORK
My workday rarely looks the same twice, and that’s one of the things I enjoy most about what I do. On any given day, I might be shifting between several different “hats” – from Head Trader executing trades as well as managing firm accounting, to overseeing technology implementation and handling HR.
BEGINNING INTERESTS
Even as a child, I was naturally drawn to math and science. I enjoyed the structure, the logic, and the satisfaction that came from arriving at a clear, correct answer. That early interest eventually led me to explore accounting, which I quickly realized felt very similar to solving puzzles.
CAREER EVOLUTION
It’s quite common for individuals to earn a degree in one area and ultimately pursue a different professional direction. During my college years, I was very lucky to have a professor who noticed my strong suits. He suggested I pursue accounting, I took his advice and the rest was history.
LOVE THE WORK
Working at Meridian has given me the opportunity to build a fulfilling career while also prioritizing my family. Our tagline, Investing for a Rich Life – Realizing What You Value, truly reflects not only how we serve our clients, but how we approach our own lives as well. Often, a “rich life” isn’t defined solely by financial success, but by the things money can’t buy – like meaningful time with family, personal growth, and the ability to pursue what matters most.
ADVICE
The best advice I can offer to other women – and really to anyone building a career – is to pursue work that you genuinely enjoy and then commit to doing it to the very best of your ability. We spend a significant portion of our lives at work, so it’s important to choose a path that energizes you, challenges you, and gives you a sense of purpose.
